Help & Support

How can we help?

Answers for Slack and Telegram users, plus a direct line to our team when you need a human.

Getting started

Set up John for your team

Most teams are up and running in a few minutes.

Create your account

Sign up at john.ceo and open your dashboard.

Install John in Slack

From Connections, choose Install in Slack and approve access for your workspace.

Connect your apps

Link Gmail, Calendar, your CRM, and other tools from App Home in Slack or from your dashboard.

Delegate your first task

Message @John in a thread or DM with a real outcome. He will confirm risky steps before acting.

Slack

Using John in Slack

John works where your team already talks.

  1. Message @John in a channel thread, DM, or group DM.
  2. Teammates in the same thread share one conversation.
  3. Open App Home in Slack to connect GitHub, Calendar, Linear, and more - or sign in at john.ceo to manage connections.
  4. Type /john help for a quick usage card, or /john status to check your workspace link.
Troubleshooting

Common issues

John is not responding in Slack

Check that John is installed for your workspace from your john.ceo dashboard. Message @John in a thread or DM (not only in the main channel without a thread). If the issue continues, run /john status in Slack or contact us.

Slack says the workspace is not linked

An admin needs to finish Install in Slack from the john.ceo dashboard while signed in. Each Slack workspace links to one John CEO account.

App search or connections need reconnecting

Open your dashboard and run Install in Slack again. This refreshes permissions after we add new features. Your chat history and persona stay on your private workspace.

Who in my workspace can use John?

Anyone in your Slack workspace can message @John. Teammates in the same thread share one conversation. App connections are managed by whoever installed John from the dashboard.

How do I disconnect or uninstall John?

In your john.ceo dashboard, open Connections and choose Disconnect Slack. To remove the app entirely, uninstall John from your Slack workspace settings. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data on disconnect.

Where is my chat data stored?

Your company's context and conversation history live in a private workspace dedicated to your account - never mixed with other customers. Message routing happens on our side, but we do not keep long-term chat transcripts from Slack. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

More about John

What is John, exactly?

A private AI coworker who lives in your chat and does real work across your tools. He is not a chatbot that only answers. You delegate outcomes, he executes and reports back.

How is John different from ChatGPT?

Chatbots talk. John acts inside your connected apps, sends the email, updates the contact, books the time, and he remembers your context in a workspace that is yours alone.

Where do I talk to John?

Telegram is built for personal use: your chat, your rules. Slack is built for teams and business: install John in your workspace and delegate in threads where coworkers can collaborate. WhatsApp is still on the roadmap.

What can he do today?

Inbox triage, drafting and sending email, scheduling, multi-tool tasks across 1,000+ connected apps, reading documents, updating your CRM, and holding a persistent persona and memory you define.

Can John pay for things?

Not with your money today. John never uses your personal card or bank account. We are building an optional wallet and virtual card for John - opt in only, with spending limits and approvals you control. See Wallet for details.

Is my data safe?

Yes. A private workspace for each customer, data never mixed, logins protected, connections you can revoke at any time, and spend caps.

What languages does John work in?

English, Polish, and Spanish today, with more languages on the way.

Does John make mistakes?

He can, like any coworker. For risky actions such as sending on your behalf, he asks first, and you decide how much rope he gets.

How do I get started?

Request early access. Then connect Telegram for solo use or install John in Slack for your team, connect your apps, write a short persona, and delegate your first task.

Can you connect apps or in-house tools not in our app library?

Often yes. We build custom connections for tools we do not list yet and for in-house tools when workflows need it. Contact us with what you use and what John should handle.

Can my whole team use John in Slack?

Yes. Install John in your Slack workspace and message @John in DMs or threads. Teammates in the same thread share one conversation. Reasoning and connected apps run on your company's private workspace - never mixed with other customers. Team billing is still in preview; join the waitlist for early access.
